April Lockhart

April Lockhart (born July 4 in 1995) began her musical journey at the age of 7 in which she began guitar and piano lessons. In April, when she was 12 years old, she composed her first single called Different. At the age of 14 April, she spent a lot of time writing lyrics and perfecting her music skills. She started writing songs with her dad in NY and LA within a short time. April started to include other subjects in her book Take My Hand to help the people in her life who are struggling with disabilities, peer pressure or even suicidal thoughts. Lockhart has her own following and works as an online lifestyle blogger for the well-known Ilia the Clean Beauty brand. The truth is that she was born with no left hand and that makes her unique. It's not the only thing about her. The account on Instagram of Lockhart doesn't deny her disability. It also doesn't insist on her disability. It's a message. It is important to remember that we all have numerous faces. Our identities are diverse and we are much greater than the bodies we wear. Lockhart said via video that she does not want to be defined by her physical disability. She doesn't wish to become an advocate for disabled people who only talks about disability. There are many aspects to Lockhart. This doesn't influence my day-to-day activities. I conduct the same way as I always do and have developed different ways of adapting. It's a big element of my life so it is important that we talk about it. Her journey to self-acceptance is one that can last an entire lifetime. She can be a role model in this regard. Even so, Lockhart admits having moments that made her feel uncomfortable about her appearance, and the clothes which displayed her arms. Today, she wears what she's comfortable in and post pictures of herself in these outfits on social media with pride. What makes self-love so appealing to her is that it's not an end goal. That's true of everyone regardless of their insecurity. I think it's essential to surround yourself with people who are able to discern and understand your heart.
